Venetian plaster is one of the oldest and most refined wall finishing techniques in the world, originating in ancient Rome and perfected during the Italian Renaissance. It is made from marble dust and aged lime putty, applied by hand in multiple thin layers, then burnished to a smooth, luminous finish that mimics the depth and texture of natural stone.
Unlike paint , Venetian plaster is a living surface. Each application is completely unique, no two walls are ever identical. Depending on the technique, it can appear as polished marble, soft suede, raw concrete, or richly layered stone. It reflects light in a way no manufactured product can replicate.
